This talk and discussion will give insights into the R&D of quantum technologies in China, Japan, Australia, Singapore, and Korea. Developments include quantum computing, quantum communications, quantum metrology and sensing. Overviews of the countries' plans, aims and programs as well as key institutions and companies will be given. Insights will also be given on SK Telecom's recent acquisition of IDQ and its global ambitions.
Mark has lived for 25 years in Japan with expertise in semiconductors, electronics and nanotechnologies combined with a business and strategic mind. He worked for many years at Fujitsu in Japan, and has a PhD in Physics from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
