Nanoscale Magnetic Imaging Using NV-Diamond

April 27, 2015 - 11:00am
Ron Walsworth
Harvard & Smithsonian Institution

I will provide an overview of magnetic sensing and imaging using Nitrogen-Vacancy (NV) quantum defects in diamond.  Promising applications include nanoscale NMR and MRI, studies of biological cells under ambient conditions, and probing magnetic materials of relevance to Earth and planetary science and condensed matter physics.
