I will explain motivation for studying proximity-induced superconductivity in surface states of topological insulators and will present experimental results on the phenomenology of transport through superconductor-normal-superconductor junctions, where the "normal metal" is a topological insulator. We find that a supercurrent flows through the topological insulator, likely through its surface state. I will speculate on physical connections between the transport properties and the junction geometry.
