  • Lecture 1: Wednesday, October 19th, 3pm. "From rigorous stigmatism to aberrations in optical systems : definitions, characterization, wavefront decomposition on Seidel and Zernike polynomials and image quality criteria : the geometrical approach."
  • Lecture 2: Thursday, October 20th, 2pm. "Characterization of optical systems with small aberrations : the diffraction approach."
  • Lecture 3: Friday, October 21st, 1pm. "Some practical examples: dioptres, mirrors, lenses, doublets ... Towards the correction of aberrations using single atom imaging."
