Dipole-Dipole Coupled Frozen Rydberg Gases
There is renewed interest in Rydberg atoms due to their potential use in quantum gates, field sensors, and in simulating many-body coupled systems. This talk will give an overview of Rydberg atoms and their properties, and discuss experiments aimed at measurement and control of the long-range dipole-dipole interaction in the dilute "frozen gas" regime
